Where Did We Go?! (Spoiler: We Didn’t Fall Into a Yarn Hole… Probably)

If you’ve been wondering why things have been a little… quiet around here lately—no new blog posts, fewer social updates, and a suspicious lack of plushie glamour shots—you’re not alone.

We promise we didn’t vanish.

We were just… temporarily swallowed by a whirlwind of yarn, fluff, and unexpectedly enthusiastic humans. 🧶

The Short Version

We spent the last month attending a craft show right here in our local 55+ community (where we live, create, and occasionally lose track of time and scissors).

And wow… you all showed up.

Like, really showed up.

This is the start of the day before sales began!

The Slightly Longer (and More Chaotic) Version

What started as a “Hey, let’s try this out and see what happens” situation quickly turned into:

• “Wait… we’re almost sold out?”

• “How are we almost sold out??”

• “Do we have enough stuffing?”

• “Do we even know what day it is anymore?”

Spoiler: we did not.

Meet the Real MVP (Again)

As always, the true star of the show was Sorcha—the creative genius, the mastermind, the one-woman crochet powerhouse.

After wrapping up teaching multiple fiber arts classes here in the community (and inspiring what we suspect is a quiet uprising of future yarn artists), she has now shifted into full-time creation mode.

Which, in practical terms, means:

• Hooks flying

• Yarn multiplying

• Plushies appearing out of thin air like magic (but with more coffee involved)

She’s been working nonstop to restock everything that flew off the table during the show—and to dream up new creations for all of you.

About That Silence…

We’ll be honest: keeping up with social media while also trying to keep up with demand turned into a bit of a “choose your battle” situation.

And we chose… making sure there were actually plushies to share with you.

(We figured pictures of empty shelves wouldn’t be as fun.)

The Part That Still Feels Unreal

We went into this craft show hopeful.

We came out of it… genuinely blown away.

The response to Sew Yarnique has been better than we could have ever imagined. Every kind word, every smile, every “Oh my gosh, this is so cute!”—it all means more to us than we can properly put into words.

You didn’t just support a small business.

You supported her creativity, our little dream, and this slightly chaotic, yarn-filled life we’ve built together.

And for that, we are incredibly grateful.

What We’re Working On Now

Right now, it’s all hands (and hooks) on deck to:

• Rebuild our sold-out inventory

• Bring back your favorites

• Introduce brand new plushies (yes, they’re adorable—we’ve seen them in progress 👀)

• Get back into a regular rhythm of sharing, posting, and connecting
